A Kennedy Hunt P.C. disability rights lawsuit is landing local news coverage.

The lawsuit alleges O’Fallon Township High School discriminated against and failed to accommodate our client, a minor child with disabilities suffering from chronic lung scarring, thyroid disease, hearing loss, and other complications.

According to the lawsuit, the school failed to accommodate our client’s hearing loss in the classroom and lung damage in physical education. The physical education teacher allegedly denied our client the ability to fill her water bottle multiple times.

The lawsuit also claims that one of our client’s teachers refused to wear a DM amplifier in the classroom to accommodate her hearing loss even after school leaders and our client’s parents developed an accommodation plan requiring the teacher to wear the microphone.
