On February 15, 2018, Sarah Jane Hunt gave a presentation called “Trying a Housing Discrimination Case” for the Missouri Bar Association. The presentation focused on the Fair Housing Act.
The Fair Housing Act was enacted in 1968. It protects people from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or securing financing for housing. The presentation provided background on the Fair Housing Act and discussed what practices are prohibited under the Act, as well as the type of evidence required to succeed under the Act.
