Project 2025 – known as a conservative blueprint to President Donald Trump – could have major implications for people with disabilities. According to the 900-page document, people with disabilities could lose access to the laws, policies, and programs in line with their rights.
The Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund recently outlined some of the profound ways Project 2025 could impact people with disabilities. If implemented, Project 2025 would severely cut federal funding to Medicaid, K-12 education, and public transportation. The blueprint would also upend the Affordable Care Act and gut the Department of Education.
